I rate the kaizen event you did for us last week as a 10 out of 10. We were absolutely delighted. It couldn’t have been any better.

The event turned our employees’ attitudes upside down. They went from saying, “we can’t reduce setup times, this place stinks, same old problems,” to “wow, it’s amazing the changes we can make here and we really can make a difference.”

While planning this event, you opened our eyes to setup time reduction as the key to improvement for our plant, and the bottom line on this event is that in one week we cut setup time in half. Now we can cut our batch sizes and WIP in half, and as a result vastly improve our flexibility and delivery. We are tickled pink.

John Beane (our Everest consultant) was professional and easy to work with. The most outstanding thing he did was to stretch our minds and break us out of our comfort zones. He did it not only by teaching us new approaches, but also by seeing us for what we were and assertively shaking us out of our old thinking when necessary. He was a leader who got our attention. Very valuable.

The biggest thing I like about you guys is that you keep it simple and get the job done. Better results with less work, that’s what you guys do. We’ve already reserved John for our next event. Let’s get it scheduled as soon as possible. I’m looking forward to it.
